"What a COZY venue at the Riverwood Inn. RICK found access to a PERCH in the FAR BACK right corner that allowed him to videotape. Ray and I, of course, joined our friends, the dancers, in front of the stage for the whole show. We stood the whole time, and did not stop listening and dancing for three or four hours solid. The band was on fire, with PETE SEARS boring through the floor on his bass. David was in charge of lyrica and in-charge he WAS. He has a new song that is Dylanesque, and is challenging, and he spat that out clearly. Out came recognizable songs from OLD, like NRPS Garden of Eden, and DEAD covers like Wind and the Rain, and the Wheel, and then original David Nelson tunes that I KNOW must have been great fun for Rick to hear NEW and LIVE! I would wave at him, and commune during bathroom breaks. At one point we lost the electricity, which was sort of romantic. :-) The band just kept noodling in the dark---very atmospheric. Yvonne and Lyle were no less on the floor dancing than E and R. At the end I warmly greeted everyone in the band with great thx. What an inexpressably HIGH evening of music. One of the gals said it was like the spirit of the Redwoods pushing up through the DANCE FLOOR. I THINK SO!"...................................................
