Students with a rudimentary knowledge of the keyboard can enjoy playing alongside more advanced players in the relaxed and fun, but intensive learning atmosphere of the Fur Peace Ranch Guitar Camp. I will try to impart some of the experience gained from my 42 years as a professional musician, and will be encouraging people to learn the art of playing with other musicians. We will also cover the fundamentals of the 12 bar blues, and learn the right and left hand techniques necessary to embellish and improvise on such Jorma classics as "Hesitation Blues" and "Walking Blues". I would prefer you bring your own 88 key weighted action digital electric piano, along with a small amp, but please feel free to bring any keyboard you are comfortable working with--as long as you have some way to amplify it. A stool and sustain pedal is, of course, important, and a set of headphones in case you feel the need to practice without distraction.
